New Funds to Servus
New Funds to Servus: Eligible members include personal members and qualified business members, subject to Servus Credit Union’s account opening, membership, and eligibility requirements. This offer is available only for new funds resulting in an overall increase in the member’s aggregate eligible deposit balances with Servus Credit Union. Balances held with Servus Credit Union prior to September 2nd, 2026 do not qualify. Any funds withdrawn and re-deposited during sales period would be deemed ineligible.
The Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation guarantees the repayment of all deposits with Alberta credit unions, including accrued interest. Additionally, the Credit Union Act provides that the Government of Alberta will ensure that this obligation of the Corporation is carried out. This guarantee covers all deposits including foreign currency deposits and deposits with terms exceeding five years. It is not affected by a credit union changing its name, amalgamating, or entering into similar types of arrangements.
